How to bulk update all related touchpoints from your email template

Just updated an email template, and now need to bulk update all related touchpoints so they now use the updated version?

Use case: You have a email template that you use in hundreds of touchpoints. You need to update that template and then ensure all the related Touchpoints are using that new template. Challenge: you don't have much time to complete it all.

Stay in Template Builder

You don't need to hunt down all your related touchpoints - you can update them all from within Template Builder.

After you have updated your template, go to bus stop 5 "Used in" to see a list of all the Touchpoints that are using this template.

Step 1: Select which ones you want to update:

You can either select them individually, or click 'All' to select everything.

Step 2: Click the 'Update button below to see:

You see this confirmation and you know that it's all done:

FAQs

Q. Can I select only a few touchpoints out of the list?

A. Yes. As many or as few as you like.

Q. How do I know they were updated?

A. You will see that the thumbnails in this "Used In" bus stop are now displaying the new Template. It is also timestamped as a Content Update in each actual touchpoint.

Q. Can I look at these touchpoints?

A. Yes. Use the Magnifying Glass icon to jump straight to each touchpoint.

Q. Do I need to set each touchpoint to 'draft' to make this template update?

A. No. They get updated whether the touchpoint is set to draft or live.

Q. Do I need to publish this template to bulk update its touchpoints??

A. Yes.

Q. Can I reverse my changes if I make a mistake?

A. No. you will need to set the template to draft, make your template changes and publish it, and then update the affected touchpoints once more.

Q. Can I update Campaigns, Autoresponder emails or 1-2-1 templates in bulk?

A. No. Just touchpoints.
