Phone numbers as Links

Want students to be able to call you direct from their phones with one click? Add a tel: link to your email Touchpoints and Campaigns and they will be able to dial you instantly.

Just follow this quick guide to adding the special link to your emails:

1. In any email touchpoint or campaign email, edit the text and add a link. Choose the <other> protocol and ensure you start the number with tel:

2. Send an email preview to your mobile phone to make sure the link works as expected. It's a standard piece of HTML functionality so it will work on most modern smartphones.

Mailto: Email Links

Using the Link wizard to create a mailto: link couldn't be simpler.

  1. Select the text you want to turn into a link and click the link wizard icon on the content editor toolbar.

  2. Change the "link type" from "URL" to "E-mail"

  3. Add the email address in.

  4. Optionally, you can also add a subject line and message. This means that when someone click the link, these items will be pre-filled in their email for them.
