An Engagement score is a way of measuring how engaged your students are with your establishment. It uses detailed activity logging on a student's record to score each interaction. From this, we can show the overall engagement of a student, and a spark-line of past engagement.

For example:

  • Sally Student starts with a 0 engagement.

  • She makes a prospectus request, adding 5 points.

  • Booking an open day place adds 10 points.

  • Filling out a post-event survey would add another 10.

  • So Sally ends up with an Engagement Score of 25.

However, Sally's score can go down too. If she cancels her booking and doesn't interact with the establishment, she loses 10 engagement points. So Sally now has an Engagement Score of only 15.

Each student's engagement score gets calculated in real-time with each interaction.

You can see the progress of the score, week by week, in each Student Record. The number is their score, the spark-line is their progress over the last quarter and the trend indicator is either up, flat, or down:

What's it good for?

Beyond a simple track of which students are or aren't engaged, you can use these scores in segments and campaigns. For example, you could send an email to all students above 100 points, who want to study Jazz in 2022.

Below is a list of 114 engagement score activities that you can use - the score for each one (the range is from -10 to +10) is completely up to you!
