Assign any outcome you like to record the success of your events:

If all events ran perfectly then maybe you wouldn't use this feature. For example, you could set up 100 events per season and your report would simply say:

Occurrence  . . . . . . . . . . . . MEC: School Events (ID:12345)
Date range . . . . . . . . . . . . 01 Jan 2020 to 31 Dec 2020
No of events . . . . . . . . . . . 100

But, what if they had not all gone according to plan?

Just imagine that some schools cancelled on you before you arrived πŸ˜‘ , others were poorly attended 🀨 and others were hugely over-subscribed πŸ˜€.

It would be useful to know which events had which particular outcome, like this:

Occurrence  . . . . . . . . . . . . MEC: School Events (ID:12345)
Date range . . . . . . . . . . . . 01 Jan 2020 to 31 Dec 2020
No of events . . . . . . . . . . . 100
Outcome = '01 great success'. . . . 90
Outcome = '02 moderate success' . . 9
Outcome = '99 cancelled'. . . . . . 1

And this is where your Event Outcome is helpful. Simply find the event and assign an outcome:

You can also add any thoughts or considerations about the event in the Outcome Notes box.

Your superusers can create as many Outcomes as required, even different ones per occurrence if you like.

FAQs

Q. Where can I create and manage my Outcomes?

A. Click the Setup cog in the event apps EVM, MEC, AOD and POD and use the tab 'Outcomes'.

Q. Where can I see a report of Outcomes?

A. See the Event Outcomes in-app report included in each occurrence of EVM, MEC, AOD and POD.

Q. Is the Outcome field included in my Data Packs?

A. Yes.

Q. Can I assign an outcome before an event has happened?

A. Yes. Before, during and after.

Q. Why can't we just delete events that get cancelled, like we usually do?

A. You can, however if you have gone to a great deal of effort arranging an event at XYZ school and they keep cancelling on you at the last minute, this intelligence will be lost if you just delete the event.
