There are two types of status available to set in your Active Applications occurrence: statuses that show to your Officers, and statuses that show to your Students via the Portal.

Officer Statuses

These are the statuses which display on your dashboard inside the Platform to your officers. They can include hover-over tips to help your officers know how to progress an application from that point. Read more about Statuses on the Dashboard.

Portal Statuses

These statuses are shown on your Student Application Portal, and are seen by Students. This ensures that Students can see the progress of their application, and also includes any tips you'd like to display such as informing the Student of their next steps for that application.

You can also see the Status and tip displayed on your dashboard inside your Applications Occurrence:

Customising your Statuses

Inside your Active Applications occurrence, click on the settings cog and go to the Statuses tab.

To change the name and tip of a Status click the Edit pencil, which will bring up the settings for that Status.

Dashboard Status:

This is the internal status of the application, and can be amended to suit your establishment's nomenclature. It's only seen by Officers, and not by Students.

Officer tip:

This tip shows your officers what they would usually do when an application is this status.

Display on the Dashboard:

This lets you set if a Status is shown at all. For example, if you're not accepting international students, you may want to hide "Need CAS" and "CAS Letter". Just click the toggle to hide or show the status.

Portal Status:

This is the Status you show to the Student, which tells them what stage their application is in. This setting allows you to change the Status to something more helpful, for example "Deposit Outstanding" would become "Please pay your deposit".

Portal tip:

This gives Students more information about what they need to do to progress their application. For example, the "Deposit Outstanding" Status Tip could advise how the student can pay their deposit.

Display on the Portal:

This allows you to control what statuses the Student sees. For example, you may not want to show the "Quality Check" status to the Student.

Changing Status Order

You can use the grab-handles at the left of a Status to change where it appears on the list on the dashboard. If you need to revert the Statuses to the original Platform order, simply click "Reset".
