Need to create a segment based on your applicant's residency status? You can do this right from the Student Database. You can also use the Residency Status as a condition for touchpoints in other Apps.

If you are using Student CRM for your applications, you might be collecting Residency Status. This takes the form of either Overseas, Home or EU.

This status is also available in the Student Record Card.

How could this be used in campaigns and communications?

Use Residency Status in a Segment

Residency status can be used to build a Segment for a Campaign in combination with other Student fields such as Course of Interest and Year of Entry. This might be useful for contacting Applicants who have shown interest in other courses in the past, for example.

Use Residency Status in a Touchpoint

Having this field stored in the central Student Record means you can also use this Residency Status as a condition on a touchpoint, conditional text or as a merge field in Apps such as Applicant Open Days.

The options values are:

  • "H" for Home

  • "EU" for European

  • "O" for Overseas

  • "C" for Channel Islands

  • "N" for Unknown
