This section tells you how your occurrence of Applications has been configured.

(These settings are selected when the occurrence is first created and can't be changed once the occurrence has started receiving applications.)

Occurrence Type

This tells you whether the occurrence is 'Passive' or 'Active'.

  • A 'Passive' occurrence receives applications via a data feed using the Applications API. (Typically a student will complete a UCAS application form that goes into your Student Records System (ie: SITS) and then into Student CRM).

  • An 'Active' occurrence receives applications via a web form. (Typically students click a link on your website and apply directly using your online application form that goes into Student CRM).

Deferrals

This confirms the occurrence is set up to monitor each application for updates to either Courses or Year of Entry and applies a flag when a change is detected. Read more here.
