Student CRM

The Applications app is used for managing the educational application process in an efficient way.

Passive Applications is one way of using the Applications app (the other is <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/en/articles/2025563-what-is-the-applications-app">Active Applications</a> and uses a web form to create the application). 

In Passive Application Occurrences, Applicant data can be:

sent to Student CRM from your Student Record/ Information System via a data feed using <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/en/articles/7201404-integrating-srs-with-student-crm-s-applications-app-a-guide-for-the-university">Passive Applications API</a>. It's most often used in conjunction with UCAS Applications.

manually uploaded from a CSV via the Data Importer tool.

- sent to Student CRM from your Student Record/ Information System via a data feed using <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/en/articles/7201404-integrating-srs-with-student-crm-s-applications-app-a-guide-for-the-university">Passive Applications API</a>. It's most often used in conjunction with UCAS Applications.

There are three main ways to use Passive Applications:

To send automated communications to an applicant about an application using <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/applications/getting-started-in-applications/how-can-i-use-workflows-in-my-communications-plans-for-my-applications">Workflows</a> and <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/applications/getting-started-in-applications/how-can-i-use-touchpoints-in-my-communications-plans-for-my-applications">Touchpoints</a>.

To send ad hoc communications to an applicant about an application using <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/en/articles/3772563-building-a-segment-in-campaign-manager">Segments</a> and <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/en/articles/3849973-creating-an-email-or-sms-campaign-in-campaign-manager">Campaigns</a>.

Send the applicant an invitation to an Applicant Open Day using <a href="https://help.student-crm.com/en/articles/2025170-how-do-i-use-invite-lists-to-invite-students-to-my-applicant-open-day">Invite Lists</a>.

1.
