Setting up a new open day date can be time consuming. Once you've created your first Pre-applicant Open Day, this new tool does all the heavy lifting for you by duplicating an existing setup, including your course groups.

What can be cloned?

You can clone the Date and all the associated Faculty Events and Activities. If you want to create a date for a new season of open days, Course Groups can also be cloned. All of the texts and settings from your old Date will be copied across.

How do I start?

To find a date to clone, go to Open Days tab. Filter the list using the drop downs to find the appropriate date to clone.

Click on the Clone icon to review the Date and start the cloning process

4 quick steps to your new Date.

Step 1

When you have selected a date to Clone, the Overview page will give you more information on what elements this Date has, to help your decide if this is the one you wish to Clone.

Step 2

Set the date and name of your new date, and which Year of Entry you'll be targeting. (The Clone tool will detect whether you need new Course Groups for this year of entry.)

Step 3

Check your course groups. If you're setting up Course Groups for a new year of entry, you can bulk edit the Group Title and Code. You can also adjust the capacity of any Course Group.

Step 4

Check the details of the new date, including all of the Faculty Events and Activities.

Your new date is created!

Your new date will be in Draft to begin with. Just click on the Edit pencil to Fine tune each item if you need to change texts or timings.
