The Open Day Date is the fundamental element of the Open Day. For example, you may have it set to 21st July 2016 with a Target Year of Entry of 2017, a Capacity of 2500, and a Target of 2000.

Step 1 – Open Day Date Setup

To set up your Open Day Date:

  1. Click on the Pre-App Open Days app on the homepage.

  2. On the Dates listing, click the 'Add Date' Plus icon.

  3. Enter all the required information (See below for an explanation of each piece of information)

  4. Click the Save button.

When adding an Open Day Date, you will need to enter:

  • Campus – This is the University campus that the Open Day is taking place on.

  • Open Day Date – The Date of your Open Day.

  • Last Booking Date - Booking will be allowed up until midnight of the date selected (no booking can be made on the day of event)

  • Target Year of Entry – The year of enrolment that students coming on the open day are aiming for, this will determine the course list offered to students. If you think you have two years of entry coming, use the earliest one as your target. (eg. 2016 and 2017, use 2016 as the target year of entry)

  • Capacity (P) – The maximum number of people who could attend your open day. ‘(P)’ denotes a party capacity. Party capacity includes the student and any family they bring.

  • Target – The desired number of registrations for the Open Day Date. This does not limit bookings or capacity. It is a number used for reporting.

  • Levels of Study – The student’s level of study the Open Day is designed for.

  • Programme Header Text – Text that will appear at the top of the students' programme.

  • Programme Footer Text – Text that will appear at the bottom of the students' programme.

Once you have successfully added and saved your Open Day, it will appear in the Dates tab as shown below.
