You may have noticed at the bottom of each of the articles on Knowledgebase there are a collection of share buttons, and you may have thought to yourself, 'those are cool, I wonder if I can have them on my Knowledgebase?' Well the answer is of course you can, and it is super easy to set up!
However, just a quick word of warning before we start. To make sure your Private knowledgebase stays private you are only able to add share buttons to a public knowledgebase!
1. On the Knowledgebase app click on the settings button in the top right hand corner, the one you use to edit your Knowledgebase's homepage.
2. Scroll down and you will find a field called 'Share This (ID). Click on the question mark.
3. You will be taken to Share this website. Click on the 'Get Share Buttons' button.
4. Here you can choose which type of Share buttons you wish to have for your Knowledgebase. For New Forest we have decided to go with the Inline Buttons.
5. You will then be taken to this settings screen. On this screen you can customise your share buttons, which ones you want to appear, where they will be placed, how big they will be. It's all completely up to you!
6. After you have finished editing your buttons, click on the register button in the left hand corner.
7. You will then be asked to create an account. The domain field will have automatically been filled in. Just enter an email and password.
8. Afterwards you will be taken to this screen, ignore it and click 'go to your dashboard'.
9. On your dashboard you will be able to change the settings of your buttons at anytime. But for now, click on 'Property Settings' in the bottom left hand corner of the dashboard.
10. Once on your property settings, in the middle of your screen you will see an ID number, which will look similar to the one below, Copy the ID number.
11. Once you have copied your ID number, go back onto your Knowledgebase homepage settings, and paste the ID into the Share This field. Click save and you're done!
