The Form Template in the Applicant Open Days app is displayed to all students who book using the public booking web form.
To configure your form, go to Settings > Form tab. Here you have a range of options to set up for your form how you'd like. There's more detail on these below, or jump to the FAQs.
Theme
You can select a prebuilt theme from this list, or select "Custom" and add the CSS styling you want in here. You can use the Theme Previewer tool to check how your form will look across a range of devices.
Activity Ordering
Activities will be listed in time order. However you can choose how they are listed.
Common Activities first lists Day activities before Event specific ones.
Event Activities first lists Event activities ahead of Day ones.
Earliest Timeslot first gives all activities in full time order, irrespective of it being a Day or Event activity.
Consent
Clicking the blue "Change" button will take you to Web Form Builder and allow you to select a new consent pack. To change your Managed Form, please see this article.
Header and Footer Images
The Header and Footer images should be 760 pixels wide and between 50 and 150 pixels high. Click "Choose File" to select a new file and overwrite a previous image, or select "Remove Header Image?" and save to remove the existing image. You can also add a description of your header and footer images in the Alt Text field provided.
Open Day Name
This allows you to display the name of your Open Day on the form.
Special Requirements
This allows applications to let you know if they have any access requirements to attend your day (such as hearing aid loop, a guide dog, etc). This setting allows you to enable this field on the form, and to customize the message you'd like to put on this field.
Choose Activities Page Text
Here you can customise the text which shows on the "Choose Activities" page of the form.
Auto Redirect
Auto Redirect gives you the option of redirecting the student to another website after they've completed their booking. Here you can set how soon the redirect should happen in seconds, and the website to redirect to, for example your website's "thank you" page.

FAQs
Q. Can I embed the Applicant Open Days booking form on my establishment's website?
A. No, not at this time. For a full explanation of why not, please see this article.
Q. Applicant's keep leaving "N/A" in the Special Requirements field. How do I ensure I only get valid Special Requirements?
A. Try varying the text for the Special Requirements Field Label. This field can take up to 255 characters, allowing you to add some extra text at the end of your message, for example, "Please leave blank if not applicable".
Q. Why is my Activity not displaying?
A. Check the Issues tab. If an Activity is fully booked, it's removed from the form. If the activity is required, this will mean that no more students can book onto the day. You may need to increase the capacity for the Activity to match the Date.
