How to get in touch with anyone who replies to your Survey

There will be occasions when you need to get back to your Survey respondents with a personal reply or to gather further information. For example when you survey your students, you might ask an open ended question such as 'Please let us know if you would like to be part of our Open Days focus group.'

You can contact Survey respondents in two ways:

Through a direct, one to one message. From the respondents answer list, you can click on their name and jump straight to their student record card, where you can find their details in order to email, text (via a one to one message) or phone the student directly.

If you want to contact multiple respondents, we suggest using a Student segment in Campaign Manager. You can filter for all Students who have responded to a particular Survey AND who have also answered in a particular way.

You can then combine your Surveys filters with other fields from Applications or Student Database for example, in order to get the right segment to contact.

Survey Segments FAQs

Q. What if I want to find students who've not responded to a Survey?

A. Use 'Survey is not Your Survey Name' as your filters. Be careful to include other filters or you'll end up with a very large results list.

Q. What if I want to exclude students who have answered a particular way? There's no Answer submitted 'is not' operator.

A. Find all the students who have answered in a particular way (see screenshot above) and then use the results lists in a nested segment.
